News from 8 a.m. – Marseille: an important point of deal dismantled in the city of Bassens
In Marseille, one of the most lucrative deal points has just been dismantled in the Bassens city. The hideout hid weapons and drugs.
The perpetrators arrested between the ages of 20 and 30 and are sometimes from the same family. More 30 kg of ammunition have been found. In this deal point, the turnover could go up to 80,000 euros per day. “We recovered 20 kilos of cannabis, money, but above all a large arms depot, because we have 18 weapons, including two submachine guns, seven Kalashnikovs, five handguns, 3,000 ammunition, of which 1,500 were used to supply the Kalashnikovs”, explains the public prosecutor of Marseille, Dominique Laurens.
The hiding place, guarded by a couple, was none other than a cellar in a district of the city center far from the city of Bassens. The challenge now is to know where these weapons come from and if they have already been used.
