Ice hockey: HC Innsbruck signs Brady Shaw – winter sports
Vienna – Thursday, June 9th, 2022, 2:54 p.m
HC Innsbruck is poaching at the competition!
The “Sharks” sign ex-Fehervar player Brady Shaw and give him a contract for the coming season.
Born in Canada and also a US citizen, he played in the AHL and ECHL for a number of years before moving to Europe.
Via Esbjerg it then went to Fehervar, where the 29-year-old was an important support in the control of the ICE final in the past season.
“Even when I played with Fehervar in Innsbruck last season, I knew that I really wanted to play here. I’m really looking forward to the city, the team, the proud fans. I want to help the team win games,” he said the Canadian is preparing for his new task in Tyrol.
Head coach Mitch O’Keefe is full of praise for his new protégé: “Brady is a highly talented man with a balanced, well-rounded game. In the second half of last season he found his game in the league and played a big part in Fehervar’s success. He’s always there when big, important games come up. He knows the league now and WILL become an important factor for us to be successful.”
