the kindergartens and nurseries of the agglomeration were full
In the Facebook groups in Göd, quite a few parents have been upset in recent days. Notices of their enrollment in kindergarten have now been sent out, and it turns out the local authorities have not been able to admit all the children their parents want to enroll in kindergarten.
Every child in Hungary must attend kindergarten from the age of three. THE as provided by law so that, subject to certain exemptions, children in their third year of that year are required to attend at least four hours a day in kindergarten in August.
The kindergarten may admit a child who is three years old within six months of being admitted. However, the institutions can only do this if they have provided space for all the children who are entitled to it and there are more places left.
It is also life-giving because of the gyes
While not really mandatory by law, they are also accustomed to those who, say, spend three in October or October. On the twenty thousand Göd, on the other hand, there are so many children that there is no room left for the optional ones. Parents get stuck at this point because if they couldn’t resolve the child’s situation, they can’t go back to work, and then only when the child is four years old, for example, they only go after the child until they spend the year.
So, to illustrate with an example that will turn three in September this year, you can’t go to a public kindergarten in Göd now, but you won’t be able to go after it in October, so if you can’t solve the placement, your parent will have to stay home for almost a year. don’t get it anymore. it’s not even just about the money. Although we cannot talk about a unified parental attitude in this, many people believe that it is good for a child from a socialization point of view to be in the community at the age of three or even earlier, to shake up to social norms, to develop more harmoniously and harmoniously.
Especially many children north of Pest
Parents from Göd have been informed that, for example, the number of places in the Kincsem kindergarten is 390, of which 79 are currently available for the new, youngest grade. There are more children than this, 88 must be enrolled due to the legal requirements already detailed, and in addition to these 88 children, their parents wanted to enroll another 72 children, but they cannot be admitted to the institution.
According to him, such a lack of capacity is not only in Göd, but also in the Dunakeszi and Vác area. This may be partly due to the fact that there are many children in this north-eastern part of the metropolitan area, many young couples move here and obviously want to go to kindergarten, kindergarten or school.
There are capacity issues in other respects as well, for example in this area the pediatrician feels that there are too many children for too few doctors. Sometimes you have to wait a long time for an examination or vaccination and it is not easy to ask your child for another doctor because there is a house full in almost every practice.
Biatorbágy is also full
But according to our sources, the situation is similar in other settlements around Budapest. For example, we also sent a question to the municipality of Biatorbágy regarding kindergarten places, in their answer it was written that all children required to attend kindergarten could be accommodated, but there were also needs that apply to children younger than the legal age limit.
We also wrote to the municipality of Göd, from where he replies that he should try to do everything, but there is not enough space in the kindergarten, but somehow I would like to solve the placement of the children of working parents. “A final decision will be made in August, but the children of working parents will not be left without institutional education,” they wrote. They also added that a representative body is keeping the issue of kindergarten development on the agenda, “but there are currently no plans to expand new kindergarten places under construction”. Telex visited the local government of Göd on Wednesday morning, before the publication of our article by the opposition Csaba Balogh on Thursday afternoon. spoke about the lack of kindergarten places on Facebookand he wrote that “those who reach the age of three later (on or after September 1) may remain in the nursery.”
There is also an agglomeration where there is enough kindergarten space, children up to two and a half years old are admitted, but the lack of kindergarten teachers is a problem. In Veresegyház, for example, more qualified kindergarten teachers and nurses would be needed, and fluctuation is extremely high. Due to the lack of kindergarten teachers, children are placed in gigantic groups.
It also rings on Lake Balaton
We know that in recent years, the problems of kindergarten and crèche capacity have occurred not only in the regions, but also in Lake Balaton and in the settlements around Lake Balaton (Alsóörs). (Due to the increase in nursery places earlier development program launched by the government.)
Parents of children who do not have access to public places may even have the option of a private nursery, which is a pocket-sized thing. There are few private homes where you can swim less than 80-90 thousand a month with children, but you typically have to pay more.
They didn’t count on so many people
Telex has already dealt with the population growth of the Budapest agglomeration on several occasions. In the vicinity of Budapest, the residents of the settlement are tired of the fact that a lot of people move there, but the state (and the local governments) do not spend enough on transport, water supply, roads, kindergartens and crèches.
Locals also held a demonstration in Nagytarcsa, saying the agglomeration village was “not full but overflowing”. “Where is our water? Where is our nursery? Lay out the full board! ” The locals shouted at the demonstration.
Last summer, water shortages developed in a few settlements around Budapest. We went to Pécel, where the number of settlers has been rising sharply for decades, but the water infrastructure has not been developed at the right pace. And when the good times come, everyone wants to fill the pools at once, there is only water in some areas at once.
We Hungary decreased from 10.7 million to 9.7 million in forty years, until then the population of Budapest’s metropolitan area did not change, remaining 3 million. However, the proportions have shifted. In the middle of the eighties, the population of Budapest was still 2.1 million, but since then it has decreased to 1.7 million, so the population of the metropolitan area has grown from 900,000 to 1.3 million, said János Balázs Kocsis, associate professor of the Hungarian Urban Society.
The growth of the agglomeration does not stop
According to Kocsis, one of the main reasons for the growth of the agglomeration today is that the housing stock in Budapest is in a very poor state, quite expensive (this is partly due to speculative real estate buyers), but there are similar small flats in the capital. If there are multiple children in a family, they simply do not have proper access to these properties.
According to the researcher, not only with the newly built properties, the population of the agglomeration is increasing, but also with the fact that children have fled many family houses that have been there for a long time, only the parents have been left alone or possibly alone. . away, so even four or five people move in place of one or two people. This is up to four to five times the population growth even without construction. And there are also movers to the newly parceled out parts.
In the area around the capital, there was the last major infrastructure development in many places in the 1990s, and even then the number of people moving to the agglomeration was not expected to rise so sharply. It is also well known that most of the roads leading to agglomerations are not of adequate size, and train transport is not ideal everywhere, as the railway stations (Budaörs, Biatorbágy, Törökbálint, etc.) are too far from the inhabited parts. According to the urban planning expert, the Budapest agglomeration will grow even more in the coming years.
