Lapeyrouse-Fossat. Toulouse, capital of floorball
Lapeyrouse-Fossat Floorball Club (LFFC), known as the Griffons d’Oc, has the honor of hosting the finals of the men’s (national 1 and 2) and women’s (division 1) championships. The organization of this event is the result of several years of active work on the development of floorball in Toulouse. The Suzanne Lenglen gymnasium in Castelmaurou will welcome the participating teams on Saturday June 4 from 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The game’s rules
This young sport, in full expansion, uses tactics and game techniques close to ice hockey. It is played on a 20 m by 40 m indoor pitch, in 3 games of 20 minutes, with 5 field players who are interchangeable throughout the game and a fixed goalkeeper. This sport requires speed and endurance on the course, agility and precision for the game of lacrosse but above all a good team spirit.
Complete physical activity, a sport of values, solidarity, self-sacrifice and respect for exemplary sportsmanship. Fair play is built into the very heart of its rules. With a staff of 90 members spread over 4 sections (children, teenagers, leisure and competition), the club created in 2007 allows the public to discover and practice a new sport. The Griffons d’Oc project is to perpetuate and develop the structure to promote this sport to schools and colleges.
