Wednesday night 1uh to Thursday June 2, the patrols in the streets of Annecy hit the mark again. Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on boulevard du Fier, police attention was provided by an individual running out of a parked vehicle.
Caught up, the man turned out to be the owner of the vehicle. The reason why he had tried to flee at the sight of the police vehicle was soon to become known. The 44-year-old from Annecy was the subject of a search file to convert a two-month prison sentence deducted from a conviction for drug use, pronounced by the Annecy court in November 2019. The man was placed in judicial detention pending the magistrate’s decision.
Shortly after midnight, Quai des Clarisses, an individual got rid of a sachet of herbal cannabis in full view of the police. The bag thrown into the Thiou was found and the man carrying a canister of cocaine placed in police custody. Well known to the detention services for and use of narcotics, the 40-year-old man from Chignin in Savoie was on Thursday awaiting the magistrate’s decision.
Around 1:10 a.m., at the multimodal interchange opposite the station, the police checked a man caught urinating on a flower bed. Drunk and holding a tear gas canister in his pocket, the 60-year-old man was brought back to the police station and placed in a drunk tank. He was to be heard on Thursday.
