Prague will close the KACPU refugee center in Vysočany for an indefinite period. The reason is the congestion of the city, which does not manage the high number of received refugees. The center is expected to close on June 15.
“The only decision we have left not to register people in places where we can no longer take care of them is to close the Regional Assistance Center in Vysočany on 15 June in a controlled and coordinated manner,” said Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirate) on conference after the meeting of the Cross Press Staff of the city of Prague.
According to Hřiba, based on the recommendations of the Crisis Staff, an analysis of accommodation facilities will take place.
