Ricardo Rodríguez was Switzerland’s spokesman this Tuesday. In a conversation with journalists at the League of Nations, the defense of a group so appealing that they alluded to the competition, Europe or the World Cup, left a curious outburst about the group of so appealing (Portugal, Spain and Czech Republic).
“Obviously it would be better to be playing in a World Cup or a European Championship, but this Nations League also has positive points and we are here to win. Now, I would like to have a different group, we have played so many times with Portugal and Spain in recent years. But it is still positive to face good teams», explained.
Remember in the last six years, Portugal faced Switzerland on three occasions. In 2016, he lost in Basel (0-2) at the start of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup and returned the kindness in Lisbon, in the second round (2-0). More recently, in 2019, he beat the Swiss (3-1) in the 2019 Nations League semi-final, a competition he would win. Ricardo Rodríguez started in all three games.
