The work of the association, which builds on the spirituality of Transylvania, was supported by Cemix
Disadvantaged volunteer work for children was supported by Cemix Hungary Kft.
THE more than ten years old association social assistance provided to children and parents in need living in Haláp on the outskirts of Debrecen: provision of care, counseling and organization of programs. In the current action, one element of the local infrastructure used by the association was renewed: the stage in question was in a dilapidated state with a cracked concrete surface, which could be remedied by offering Cemix.
Cemix also provides renovation with personal professional support
Zoltán László, the regional representative of Cemix, told our newspaper that the work was carried out by the association’s volunteer team on a weekend. The company supported the project with elements of the Recon concrete repair product line. “We improved the surface of the 8×5-meter stage by dividing it into four zones,” the expert said. “We used Contact CT Primer and CT Max Coarse Repair Mortar.”
He added that the level differences were determined with a guide rail, with 2,400 kilograms of material being loaded at a thickness of 1 and 4 centimeters, respectively. He also reported that Cemix also arrived for the renovation with personal professional support.
“I myself, as the regional representative of our company, was present during the entire construction, my quality in work processes such as determining the amount of mixing water, post-mixing, compaction and final design.”
The spirituality of Transylvania and Albert Wass is the guiding principle for breaking out of a difficult situation
According to the report of the association organizing the project, in addition to helping disadvantaged families, building relationships with Hungarians across the border and hiking will also be emphasized in their activities. For this, many trips are organized for disadvantaged children to Transylvania. “We consider the Transylvanian attachment to be important, as our experience shows that the children of Brother Csaba Böjte are proud to preserve and nurture their traditions, they are happy to share and pass them on to us,” the summary concludes.
The report also quotes Transylvanian writer Wass Albert: “People need faith to live. You have to believe in something, otherwise you will be lost. ” Joining this idea, they appreciate their work so far:
“We believe that the 78 events organized by our association since 2011 and 35 occasions where we have installed, renovated, put things right have brought faith back to those who live here.”
We managed to breathe life into a forgotten part of town
According to the report, in order to achieve the goals of the association, in 2016 it received the building of the Old Bush Hill School in Haláp from the Debrecen municipality, which had been unused for several years. He has been able to renovate this through volunteer work and has since provided a number of services to the locals, including a folk kitchen – distributing 200 servings of hot food a day courtesy of the Vértes Reformed Church. “Since there was no community space in the area, we revived the forgotten part of the settlement by reviving the school building,” the report said.
Based on this infrastructure and the results achieved so far, the creation of a community space on the local sports field, where the local cultural life would be given a worthy place, has been launched.
To this end, in addition to the stage that has just been renovated, I would also like to develop the home sports ground – as well as the local playground and its surroundings. They are also looking for financial opportunities and supporters to deal with the problems of the now 117-year-old school building
