Prague Ruzyně Customs Office: Beware of imported souvenirs and gifts
30.05.2022 9:15 | Press Release
As the holiday season approaches, we allow passengers not to import souvenirs or gifts that may violate applicable national or international regulations.
During the checks of tourists, the customs officers at Václav Havel Airport in Prague Ruzyně undertake to meet various types of corals, shells and shells, which they bring from the holiday as a souvenir.

Many of these souvenirs are protected specimens of endangered species of animals and plants, which are protected by the international convention CITES (International Convention on International Trade in Wild Fauna and Flora).
Likewise, passengers should be careful when importing selected products (does not apply to goods imported by passengers under the age of 17), when the limits for exemption from customs duties are set to the highest extent:
– 200 cigarettes
– 100 cigars weighing not more than 3 grams each
– 50 cigars weighing more than 3 grams each,
– 250 g of smoking tobacco,
– quantities of heated tobacco products containing 100 g of tobacco,
– or the most recent combination of these products, provided that their percentages do not reach 100%.
We recommend all passengers to find out about the prohibitions and restrictions on the website of the Prague Ruzyně Customs Office under the link “Passenger Information” or on the information panels at the airport terminals before leaving for the holiday.
