Women’s football: police intercept fans who invaded the stadium after the Portuguese Cup final
Two supporters were intercepted by the Public Security Police, confirmed CNN Portugal at the scene.
Three supporters invaded the field of Estádio do Jamor this Saturday after the end of the final of the Portuguese Women’s Football Cup between Sporting and Famalicão.
As CNN Portugal managed to find out at the scene, one of the fans was intercepted by the Public Security Police when he jumped a barrier and entered the tartan track of the stadium.

The two other supporters fled to a closed stand, with one being detained by the authorities. The incident took place at 19:00, minutes after Sporting won the game and began preparations to celebrate the Portuguese Cup.
CNN Portugal confirmed with the Metropolitan Command of Lisbon that we were arrested “by field introduction”. “They were detained” consists of defendants with Term of Morning and Residence “notified the statement at the Public Ministry of Oeiras next Monday”, confirm to CNN Portugal. There was also a fourth arrest, “in the vicinity of the stadium”, of another individual, “for throwing objects at the police”.
