Slovakia in the final of K1 together with two boats
Liptovský Mikuláš, May 28 (TASR) – In the finals of the European Water Slalom Championships, Slovakia will have two boats together in the K1 discipline. The promotion between Eliška was won by a maximum of ten, with Jakub Grigar representing the finals in the men.
Mintálová was the only Slovak representative in the six kayakers and made the mistake only on the fourteenth goal. After crossing the finish line, she figured in third place and lost 5.15 seconds to the victorious Italian Stefanie Horn.
Grigar completed a flawless ride and advanced from fourth place, losing 1.59 seconds to Jíří Prskavec. He was supposed to start the ride even better than the Czech leader of the world rankings, but he lost a lot of time in the middle of the channel.
On the other hand, Adam Gonšenic and Martin Halčin did not win the semifinals. The former was missing 3.15 s from the procedure – at first he made a mistake in the beginning, when he “caught” two seconds on the fifth, he received another penalty when he tried to compensate for his mistake in the end. Halčin finished 29th with a two-second penalty.
