Hrvatska poštanska banka is celebrating 30 years with a new acquisition
May 28, 2022 – Hrvatska poštanska banka celebrated thirty long and successful years of operation with the acquisition of a completely new bank, Nova hrvatska banka.
As Business Diary writes, the celebration of 30 years of operation of Hrvatska poštanska banka comes after a record 2021 in which the bank achieved the best net profit in history in the amount of HRK 202 million, asset growth grew to a massive HRK 27.9 billion, and enjoyed a capital adequacy ratio of 25 , 7 percent.
“At Hrvatska poštanska banka we have many reasons to celebrate, apart from achieving the best business results in history, we got a new member within our group, Nova hrvatska banka, which is now stabilized and operating successfully. After a successful 30 years of operation, we continue to strongly build the bank’s development path, providing significant support to the country’s economic recovery, “said Marko Badurina, President of the Management Board of HPB.
The recent celebration was also attended by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, who said he congratulated Hrvatska poštanska banka on everything they had done for the Croatian banking system, especially with regard to the distribution of the bank, which is very accessible to Croats today. The Prime Minister emphasized the exceptional readiness of Hrvatska poštanska banka for the integration of Nova hrvatska banka, with the approach of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian National Bank.
Hrvatska poštanska banka was founded in October 1991 with its headquarters in the City of Zagreb, and throughout its history, it has continuously strengthened its market presence. It established its first branch office in Split in 2003, when the network began to expand rapidly throughout the country, and its presence in Dalmatia was further strengthened by the successful merger of Jadranska banka in 2019.
With a strong step towards digitalization, which began in 2014, Hrvatska poštanska banka will soon become a leader in digital trends. He was the first in the whole of Croatia to introduce access to the e-Citizens platform, biometrics for logging in to mobile banking, enabling online account opening, and withdrawing cash at ATMs with mobile phones. Thanks to its own network and partner network of about 1000 offices of the Croatian Post, today it is the most accessible bank in the whole of Croatia.
Hrvatska poštanska banka marked its three decades of work in the Republic of Croatia with specially designed activities and socially responsible projects, and realized a video series dealing with financial education called “HPB for financial literacy” which will continue during 2022. Continuing the focus on sustainable business and the well-being of the community and its customers remains one of HPB’s priority goals for this year.
