Genoa, collision on the Lagaccio cable car. Councilor Piciocchi attacks: “Put around false renderings”

Sugar Mizzy May 28, 2022

“I note that they have been put into circulation on purpose, completely invented and created by I don’t know by whom, authentic fakes, to denigrate a project that is still being studied as part of a public tender and which, therefore, at present, but still it almost cannot be divulged.
It is certain that as soon as the documents are available with the Town Hall and citizenship and I will be the guarantor of this, if I continue in my mandate “.

The Genoese city councilor for Public Works Pietro Piciocchi writes in a note after criticizing the project by the center-left candidate Ariel Dello Strologo. “In Lagaccio – says Piciocchi – there are numerous neighborhood associations with whom I have worked very well in recent years and from which I have received ideas. I have every intention of continuing to work according to this method. the project, moreover, will be shared with the Superintendency which must approve it and will discount different authorization levels in terms of environmental compatibility “.

According to the commissioner, moreover, “this infrastructure will mark a very positive turning point for the Lagaccio district and the surrounding areas and must be placed in an overall vision. It will be a driving force for the development of complementary interventions that have been going on for years and on which we have been also working with local associations, such as the enlargement of via del Lagaccio, the recovery of the former Sati shed, the full recovery of the spaces of the former Gavoglio barracks and the redevelopment of the entire area adjacent to the Ceravolo field and the Don Acciai bridge, moreover, with new parking facilities, a theme deeply felt by the inhabitants “.
Yesterday, Dello Strologo said: “On the Lagaccio cable car I said that I am critical because I have raised a number of problems. But the mayor says he will only speak to me when I stop opposing. It seems a bit strange to me. Rather, he could explain. the prospects of the project. I am ready to confront him in front of the cameras whenever he wants “.

The response of the opposition

«The city councilor Pietro Piciocchi accuses the renders with a 67-meter pylon in the Casa Gavoglio park of being” completely invented “,” authentic fake “. That’s not true: I made them based on the preliminary project nominated on the Municipality website “(attached in the email). So declares Francesca Coppola, landscape architect, 34 years old, candidate in the center-east municipality I for the “Green Europe with Sansa and Shared Line” list.

The reference is to the images that have been circulating on social media and in the press for a few days, which depict specific meters high pylons in the heart of the Park that will be born in the Lagaccio district. The Bucci Council, regarding the cable car, continues to repeat that “the final project does not exist“. However, on the municipality’s website there is a pre-feasibility project, complete with floor plan, sections and photo insertions: a document on which the formalization of the final offer for the implementation of the intervention will be based.

«The rendering I made was based on the sections on page 10 of the feasibility project of the Municipality of Genoa (attached in the email, and which can be found in the link). As you can see, it is the Municipality itself that dares to indicate that the ski lift passes right above the Lagaccio Park, and that a pylon rises in the park area of the barracks. I also remember that the designers of the park had to consider the constraints of the Gavoglio barracks and the hydrogeological risk of the river: there is in fact an important territorial fragility since in recent years many people interested have the area “.

The result of the study of the architect Coppola is a pylon more than 60 meters long in the middle of the future park “which will be defaced to make a gift to tourists”. Francesca Coppola reiterates her total opposition to the cable car project. «To improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, something else is needed: services, mobility, green spaces. We must therefore take charge of the needs of citizens and townspeople ». “Bucci and Piciocchi continue to make propaganda and shoot,” adds regional councilor Ferruccio Sansa (Lista Sansa). “But when there are attentive citizens who aspire to account for their shots then they panic.” “Really Green to bring 1500 people an hour cruises to Forte Begato?” Asks Ermete Bogetti, candidate for the municipal council of Europa Sansa and Linea Condivisa. “The Lagaccio will become the neighborhood under the cable car, with an impact on the landscape of the neighborhood and on the evaluation of the value of the buildings, because being under a cable car is like being under a bridge”.
