Baseball A1, San Marino shot to Nettuno, Godo ko by measure

Sugar Mizzy May 28, 2022

Stroke of the Italian champions: San Marino wins race-1 in Nettuno (2-1). Five innings of pitcher dominance and two innings in which practically anything happens. San Marino Baseball comes out of game 1 in Nettuno with a victory, a 2-1 gained thanks to points at the 6th and 7th, with the final seal of success signed by a defensive play, the 9-2 Batista-Lino that eliminates Noguera a house. Winning an almost complete Quevedo game, salvation for Rienzo.

Very tight race, this Friday evening at the “Steno Borghese”. There are very few opportunities to pass for both teams. Liguori and Quevedo launches are effective and base arrivals are rare. The first guests to step on the first bag with Lino, but the single of him on the 1st is isolated. Hosts with a good chance at 2nd, but with two in point position (single by Draijer and a mistake on the serve by Nicola Garbella) and two outs, Trinci is eliminated in the pot. Even the Nettuno defense makes a mistake (at 3rd), but the San Marino attack does not take advantage of it. At 4th San Marino (with Lino) and Nettuno (with Pomare) to go with a basic ball in first, but no further. At the 5th a single on each side (Ferrini and Trinci), but nothing else. Five quick and dominant restarts for both starters.

The 6th inning, on the other hand, is a story in itself, so many happen. San Marino puts six men on the base and collects a point, moreover im-por-tan-tis-si-mo. It happens that Lars Liguori grants the ball bases to Angulo and Lino in sequence. With Ustariz batting, however, the Neptune defense takes Angulo off base for the first out. In the meantime, however, another basic ball arrives but above all Leonora’s single, with Lino who is eliminated at home plate. The new entry Hamaya grants the intentional base to Pieternella and immediately afterwards Ferrini is patient, who goes first with four balls and pushes home the automatic 1-0 point. The Japanese then closes the innings by eliminating Batista from the pot.

At the change of field San Marino risks, but Nettuno does not score. Sellaroli hits a valid, Giordani pushes him to second with a bunt and for Pomare there is an intentional base. Novoa (F7) is second in the out, while the third is represented by Sellaroli himself, who is eliminated at home on Draijer’s hit on the left.

At the 7th Titani they are very ready to take advantage of the right opportunity. With two outs, Angulo keeps the innings alive thanks to a nice double, advances to third and is ready for a 2-0 on a crazy pitch. Wide margin, especially in a match like this and after Quevedo immediately eliminates Mercuri and Nicola Garbella in the lower part of the 7th. But that’s not all. Neptune keeps the match alive with Trinci’s double and Noguera’s 1-2 single. Change on the San Marino mountain, with Quevedo replaced by Rienzo. The relief is touched by Sellaroli (single) and Giordani (single), but on the latter played there is excellent assistance at home: from Batista to Lino, for the elimination of Noguera.

I enjoy finished from Grosseto

A single output to the left of Riccardo Ferretti gives to the Spirulina Becagli Grosseto the successor for 8-7 in race one of the first day of poule Salvation. A game full of twists and turns and that the Maremmans, after having checked and given the impression of being able to win without too much difficulty, even risk losing due to the determination shown by theHort @ Godo.

The Cuban ace Jonathan Carbo shines under the spotlight of “Jannella” in his first Italian match. In the match broadcast live on FIBSTV, the Cuban pitcher, a new arrival on the Tyrrhenian coast, stands out to Italian fans with seven strikeouts out of six shots and 67 total pitches. A domination to the sound of tips and sliders against which Stefano Naldoni’s batters could not do anything. Four of the seven strikeouts arrived in the first three rounds where Mattia Bucchi – right in the third inning – he was the only one to save himself with a joke on the Maremma shortstop that allowed him to reach first base. In the first part of the race the Spirulina Becagli appears too hasty against a Davide Canellini despite a few too many balls he still manages to dare a good impression, supported in the best way even by the defense. The game unlocks in the lower part of the fourth inning with the veteran Andrea Sgnaolinothat with the full bases beats the one to zero with a sacrifice fly in the center against the outside Alessio Sabadini, just before for Canellini. The new pitcher still manages to limit the damage but in the fifth inning collects the two to zero from a double of Jorge Barcelona. One inning later a double by court rule hit by the former Godo Shakir Albert encourages the formation of Jairo Ramos who scores two more points with the jokes of Sgnaolino And Niccolò Biscontri. It seems made for the hosts who instead have to deal with the pride of the Romagna. Carbo released changes the inertia of the match. His replacement, Oscar Tuccidoes not have the same effect in the match: first he fills the bases with three bases on ball, then he exits after having collected from Davide Meriggi a double by two points. The hosts call into question Obertobut the veteran fails to avoid the draw that arrives on a pinch-hitter joke Eugenio Monari which exploits also encounters an oversized shot by Paolino Ambrosino. Closed inning with outs on Bucchi (out on internal rebounder) and Tanesini (strikeout), Grosseto returns in attack against Eddy Garcia, called into question despite a physical problem. Barcelan promptly welcomes him with a double on the right line and is replaced between the bases by Yuri Sarroccogood at escaping in third on a sprint out of Herrera. Ferraro however, it is left to the plate and after the intentional date a Shakir Albert Godo manages to get out of trouble with a pick-off on Albert himself. After having closed the first extra Romagna attack unscathed, Ramos’s team tries again in the eighth with the hits of Sgnaolino And Francesco Vaglio but once again to emerge victorious is Eddy Garciawho slips three strikeouts on Biscontri, Ambrosino And Chelli. After a ninth inning without great emotions and which sees the entrance on the Grosseto mountain of Antonio Noguera, the game changes starting from the tenth inning using the automatic corridors provided for by the tie-break rule. A triple of Luis Vallejo makes the Romagna dugout rejoice that surprises Grosseto even with a safety squeeze not perfectly defended and that is worth the provisional 4-7. Noguera manages to close the doors and thinks about the change of court Andrea Sgnaolino And Niccolò Biscontri (with a turn of eleven throws) to bring the Spirulina Becagli under one point against an exhausted Garcia, replaced by the closest Gabriele Piumatti. But a defensive error (on Vaglio’s serve) and a sacrificial sprint on the opposite field of (Paolino Ambrosino) are worth the same. In the eleventh inning a defensive spell of José Herrera (double play 6-3 after touching Giacomo Meriggi direct to third base) and a strikeout by Noguera bring Grosseto back to the attack. This time it takes very little: a round of the club of Ferretti on the first launch finds the winning corridor for the home run Riccardo Gentili with Grosseto finding the first smile of the second phase.
