Apertura Carne, meat sushi in Pisa
The charm of sushi combined with the quality and goodness of the best Italian meats. All this is SMEAT – Sushi di carne italiano, the new restaurant inaugurated in the center of Pisa, at number 10 in via Massimo D’Azeglio, by the entrepreneur Andrea Catellani. Present at the cutting of the ribbon were the director of Confcommercio Provincia di Pisa, Federico Pieragnoli, the councilor for Commerce of the Municipality of Pisa Paolo Pesciatini, the president of Fipe Confcommercio Pisa Alessandro Trolese and the representative of Confcommercio Pisa public businesses Tania Mucci.
A new challenge for the entrepreneur Andrea Catellani, 38, originally from Parma and determined to bet on Pisa. “After several experiences in the world of cooking he tells in Milan I was looking for a new idea to develop with sushi, but focusing everything on meat products rather than fish” Catellani. “During the last lockdown, thanks to the help of my brother-in-law and chef Lyndon Driz, we studied suitable recipes to create a real meat sushi, prepared with the classic rolls but made with Italian products, opening first in Versilia and now in a lively and attractive city like Pisa “.
“The ingredients range from rice grown in Italy, raw and cooked meat, such as Tuscan sausage, chicken, strips of beef or diced ham, all paired with homemade sauces, with peas, peppers, caramelized onions and many more ranging to replace ethnic sauces, in addition to tartare and special poké that customers can compose a liking with meat, fruit and vegetables. It is possible to consume inside the restaurant, but we have focused heavily on takeaway and home delivery to meet all needs “.
“It is always a thrill to celebrate the opening of innovative catering businesses such as SMEAT, capable of bringing original products to Pisa without giving up the typical products of our gastronomic tradition” says Federico Pieragnoli, director of Confcommercio Provincia di Pisa.
The Councilor for Commerce of Pisa Paolo Pesciatini welcomes the inauguration of “an activity that enriches the city’s gastronomic offer with high quality products and that adapts to Pisa with a particularly innovative and attractive formula”.
“The choice to focus on Italian products and the well-structured organization of the place for the transport and delivery service, consumption methods that are experiencing an ever-growing trend are particularly appreciated, the comment of the president Fipe Confcommercio Pisa Alessandro Trolese.
