Open since April 20, Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, in Venice, serves as the physical home of an exhibition with a strong digital focus that encompasses works of art by the likes of Collie, Aaron Penne and XCopy and more than 200 NFTs created by more than 80 artists. international artists already renowned in this area – and others who are taking their first steps in this Universe, such as LightHouse Publishing, which debuts as its first NFTs at the invitation of decentralized.
To respond to the challenge of the Decentral Art Pavilion, Lighthouse created three emblematic covers of Vogue Portugal, published under his creative direction: the cover of the edition “iconic“, one of the three that inaugurated the relaunch of Vogue Portugal, now in a new home, in October 2017; the “freedom on hold“, this image that marks an era and that will always remain for posterity as a testament to the fact that the face mask was the accessory du jour; and “Fairy tale“, the most recent edition of the magazine still on newsstands and which gains a prominent place here not only for its beauty, but also because, at a time when the world is not a fairy tale, it will always be possible to believe in magic. three unique copies are up for auction on the platform Foundationin step with the exposure Singularitywhich is curated and organized by Florencia SM Brück, Javier Krasuk, Diego Lijtmaer and Simone Furian, with the installation project by David Rodríguez Gimeno and the photography section guided by Arianna Grava.
The show is a dive into the decentralization of art, with the aim of educating, creating a connection and seducing the aficionado, the collector, but also the general and remote public, boosting, through the medium, the debate around the NFTs and their impact on art, to create a greater understanding and appreciation of technologies on the fringes. Singularity is the first anthological presentation of artworks in the NFT version, extrapolating its character while bringing to light the social significance of digitization for generations to come.
“We are witnessing an unprecedented artistic evolution in which contemporary art expands in the blink of an eye. This requires a dialogue with traditional mechanisms so that artistic variants, both analog and digital, can coexist in a future where blockchain will be part of the our lives”, explains Javier Krasuk. And this cannot be done without looking at the past, however recent it may be: in a section of the space entitled 0.14Alice’s curatorship of this retrospective proposal from the beginning to the beginning of the movement, by showing the world of contemporary art, by showing some of the most original works of the lineage
Open to the public, with free admission and patent until June 20, the Decentral Art Pavilion also invites to weekends of themed activities related to NFTS (themes such as Women and the NFTs or Fashion and Music and the NFTs), and a series of live debates that invite the audience to ponder digital ownership, the origin and future of art, in a program that can accompany on here. The exhibition and the consequent activities will also be accessible virtually, by the way of the essence of the initiative, in the Metaverse of the Decentral Art Pavilion, and, if you walk around Venice, don’t be surprised if you catch the NFTs scattered around the city – there’s augmented reality all over the place.
