Florence hosts for the first time “Carta al Tesoro”, a team competition designed by Comieco for inform and raise awareness of the value of the paper and cardboard recycling cycle and the importance of separate collection. As part of the agreement with ReAL, in 2021 the Consortium guaranteed the recycling of over 13,000 tons of cellulosic packaging and about 7,000 tons of other paper collected by Alia from families and other commercial and artisanal users in Florence. Comieco has also paid economic fees of approximately 2.4 million euros for the collection and processing service “.
