Rafael Leão wants to help Portugal to win in the League of Nations
Footballer Rafael said this Friday that he wants to help Portugal debut with a victory in the League of Nations A, against Spain, and guaranteed to have his “feet as well as his feet on the ground”, in the face of the great moment of form.
The 22-year-old forward was crowned by the Italians at AC Milan and was the best player in Serie A, after a season in which he scored 14 goals and 12 assists in 42 official matches.
” I’m very happy, but always with my feet on the ground. I feel and content to work with players with a lot of experience and who have already won trophies”, began by transmitting the forward to journalists, in a press conference.
the first challenge of Group 2 of the League of Nations is scheduled for June 2nd in Seville, where the team will have to explore the Spanish nations to emerge victorious.
“Spain is a great team, but so are we and we will face them, as well as the other teams. We intend to win and we are preparing well. Spain are strong on the ball, we have to explore the measures of possession and what we have been doing at this stage is to prepare well for this one. Going in with a win will be very important.”
Rafael Leão, who has five AA caps, has a contract with AC Milan for another two years and there is no news that he will contact a possible transfer to Real Madrid, Spain, taking away the concentration on the player who prefers the left side.
“I’m doing very well, I feel at home, but now I’m in the national team. The focus is guaranteed.” Finally, he spoke of the evolution of his still short career, revealing that he is now a more mature and confident athlete.
“I left Sporting young for Lille, for a strong championship and I evolved a lot as a player. The first two years didn’t go my way, but this last year did. I am much more mature, confident and hope to achieve great things in the future. I want to be a reference at Milan, in the national team and win a World Cup”, he concluded.
In Group 2 of League A, Portugal starts by facing Spain, in June 2in Seville, then plays twice in Alvalade, in 5with Switzerland, and in 9with the Czech Republic, for, in the day 12to act in Geneva, in the second clash with the Swiss.
After these four games, the formation of the last two meetings on 24 and 27 September, the first in the Czech Republic and the second in Braga, against the Spaniards. The finals of the League of Nations takes place from 14 to 18 June 2022, with the first four groups of League A, with the last of each group going down to League B.
