Phone brand Vivo is coming to the Netherlands: that could get interesting

Sugar Mizzy May 27, 2022

The Chinese telephone brand is coming to the Netherlands. In June this year the time has come, then you can buy Vivo phones in the Netherlands. Vivo, another Chinese brand, are we waiting together? Although the smartphone world hasn’t shown its most exciting side lately, Vivo can shake things up the best.

The Chinese Vivo

That’s primarily because Vivo is gigantic. You may know the Chinese Huawei, Oppo and OnePlus. Huawei used to be one of the biggest in the world, but now from the Chinese Vivo Ever has taken over. The largest telephone suppliers in the world are Apple, Samsung and… Vivo. In China, it is number one, but worldwide the number 3. The brand has been present in Europe since 2020, but it will therefore actually go to the Netherlands from June. It is still unclear where exactly the phones are available.

Vivo does have an important important one with other Chinese parent company, because it falls under company BBK Electronics. This also includes Realme, OPPO and OnePlus. Realme is sparsely available in the Netherlands, OPPO and OnePlus have been widely available in the Netherlands for years. Vivo has therefore been available in Europe for some time and the brand is still growing here, a logical step to want to grow further in the Netherlands.

Special devices

Vivo can provide added value in the further drowsy smartphone market. It is a brand that sometimes experiments. It has made a phone with a camera drone, has developed a phone with a removable camera with its own battery. If it’s up to Vivo, you can write your photography hobby in a different way (and then also literally and figuratively).

In the first instance, however, it will not go so smoothly. Initially, there seem to be three lines: the X, Y and V series. The X-series is the luxury series with somewhat more expensive phones. The Y and V series have been announced some new year. Special devices, because the Vivo V23 can, for example, change color if you keep it in the sun. In addition, Vivo also has devices with a gimbal camera and has applied for a patent for a phone without ears or buttons, with a whole, borderless screen.

Experimental

Vivo was founded in 2009 and is now active in more than 100 countries around the world. That has enjoyed it for a while: from 2009 to 2014 it was a brand for only China. It is almost different and with its phones that fall within various price ranges, it is a brand that is popular in less rich countries as well as in richer countries. It works together with photography brand Zeiss for lenses. Yet Vivo is not always so positive in the news. For example, there is a ban on flying with a load of Vivo phones above three pallets with the phones caught fire at Hong Kong airport. And then there was also an issue with phones in India that all turned out to have the same IMEI number. So it is not only a brand that likes to experiment, things also sometimes go wrong.

In short, it looks like a breath of fresh air may be blowing through our smartphone landscape this summer. In any case, you will see more of the brand. It is in fact sponsor of the World Cup football.
