Ivo Barišič received the Borštnik Ring 2022 for his life’s work
LJUBLJANA – Ivo Barišič, a member of the SNG Nova Gorica theater who retired in 2014, is the recipient of this year’s Borštnik Ring, the highest award for theater actors in Slovenia. The organizers of the Maribor Theater Festival described Barišič’s career as a “complete commitment to the play”, adding that one of its distinctive features was that he constantly upgraded his acting method and remained open to various theater and film languages. He will receive the award at the closing ceremony of the Maribor Theater Festival on 12 June.

The number of crimes in 2021 is the lowest in a decade
