Boavista neighborhood in Lisbon will have 50 more new houses — idealista/news
The Lisbon Chamber launched this Thursday, May 26, 2022, the “first stone” of the construction of more 50 new houses in Bairro da Boavista, integrated in the ongoing rehousing operation in the masonry area and which represents an investment of over 6.5 million euros. The current number of families to be relocated is 153, with the construction of 316 homes planned.
“This is a work that is a candidate for funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) whose contract award value is 6,560,340 euros”, reads a note sent to the newsrooms by the municipality.
The work has an execution period of 22 months, is part of the development of the urbanization plan for the Boavista neighborhood what to pretend:
- “rehabilitate the neighborhood in its entirety, especially as masonry low-income constructions that in the construction of the neighborhood and which brity conceive the habitability of salubility”;
- “allow the resettlement of inhabitants no neighborhood”;
- and “improving public space and equipment”.
The contract includes a total of 50 dwellings spread over 5 blocks (10 lots) with evolving typologies of T1 to T4. The houses fit the project Eco-Neighborhood, which includes small green spaces, or the resumption of rainwater for irrigation, energy efficiency with the use of insulation solutions and the use of water using solar energy.
The process of rehousing in the Boavista neighborhood plan that all family homes residing in the masonry area move into new homes in the same neighborhood. The current number of families to be relocated is 153, it is planned to build 316 homes, which includes the 40 homes whose construction has been underway since 2021 and the 50 new homes to be built.
