Ukraine asks Croatia to take children on summer vacation
Ukraine is appealing to the Republic of Croatia for permission to set up summer camps for Ukrainian children suffering from the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratyuk spoke about this during briefing in Croatia, Ukrinform reports.
“We ask you to consider at the level of our governments, to provide parliaments to Ukrainian children who are currently in a very steep, constant stress, it is very possible to rest in some summer camps in Croatia, in particular in the format of summer camps,” said the vice speaker.
She also thanked Ukrainian refugees who had taken refuge in the Republic of Croatia for their help.
At the same time, Kondratyuk said that during talks with Croatian politicians she discussed the initiative to rehabilitate the Ukrainian military in Croatia.
As reported, Olena Kondratyuk, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is on a working visit to Croatia. During the visit, she met with the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković and addressed the deputies of the Assembly.
