Russia and China blocked in the UN Security Council the US resolution on strengthening the adoption against the DPRK

Russia and China put a veto in the UN Security Council on the unification project to strengthen acceptance against the DPRK.
All other members of the Security Council of the Organization – the United States, Great Britain, France, India, Brazil, Ireland, Mexico, Kenya, Ghana, Albania, Gabon, Norway and the United Arab Emirates – supported the document.
The meeting indicated that the Security Council condemned the launch by Pyongyang of an intercontinental ballistic missile carried out on March 24, as well as a series of other recent launches. As a result, eight things happened:
Due to the veto of Russia and China, the document was not adopted, then the UN General Assembly meets to discuss the situation around the DPRK within 10 days after the meeting of the Security Council meeting.
According to Vasily Nebenzya, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, in preparing the draft meeting on North Korea, the United States ignored the recommendations of the Russian side.
“We regret that America’s colleagues ignored our repeated clarifications that went on during the implementation of the project, and the recent meetings of the Security Council that we do not support this kind of document,” the diplomat said. RIA News.
Nebenzya stressed that the expansion adopted against the DPRK is futile and dangerous. He recalled that it was used against Pyongyang in 2016-2017.
Earlier, China’s permanent representative to the UN Zhang Jun said that China does not support the resolution. During a meeting of the Security Council of the world organization on May 11, he stated that the approach close to further sanctions tension is wrong to focus on the situation in the Korean Peninsula.
