Peskov: Russia expects Ukraine from the freedom to accept Moscow
The Russian authorities are waiting for Kyiv to accept the freedom of Moscow and realize the real state of affairs, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“Moscow is waiting for Kyiv to accept the freedom of Moscow and realize the de facto situation, the real situation that exists,” Peskov said. When asked if this was about territorial concessions, he replied: “These are not territorial concessions. Kyiv needs, I repeat once again, a de facto definition of the situation and just a sober assessment of the situation.”
Earlier, former Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger said that the process of approaching Ukraine should begin in the next two months. Such an idea was criticized in Kyiv for its approach to territorial cession proposals.
On the eve of the adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mikhail Podolyak, said that some partners are making territorial concessions for Kyiv “stab in the back.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also criticized Kissinger’s words.
