Lucas Maurer alias Jay Lü, 26, spent his childhood in Côte-d’Or and has been living in Dijon for a few years. After his studies in communication he embarked on a musical career after two years of apprenticeship in a singing school in Dijon. With his first title “Viens” Jay Lü is awarded the favorite prize of the city of Chenôve during the singing competition “Côte d’Or Festival Song” in 2019. Boosted by this distinction, the artist records this title in the studio and put it online, the following year, on streaming platforms.

A five-track EP in 2021

In an interview (Read HERE) Jay Lü confided in us “to put himself naked” in this CD “It’s a very personal album which transcribes everything that I have deep inside me. I managed to put words on my feelings on subjects that affect me such as a breakup or brotherly love.

How are you ?

Jay Lu “So that’s the title of my latest single. I evoke a theme that comes from an everyday expression that comes after hello: how are you? In fact, most people don’t dwell on the answer. Many ask the question, are you okay, but often people don’t listen to the answer. And besides, it’s a bit of a closed question, because it’s hard to say that things are wrong after such a question. Either way you won’t be heard. So everyone answers, stupidly, yes.

An identical musical tone

“My musical identity remains the same on this single, even if I changed the sounds of the instruments a little. We added a few guitar parts to give it a little more sunny look, but those who follow me will find my personality.”

A new EP with a part of experience

“I am preparing a new EP for the end of this year. It will be more piano-voice style. I’m writing five new songs on themes ranging from love and end of life to violence in all its forms. These are themes that touched me in one way or another, with a part of experience. It’s easier to write about yourself. We are more in the truth, in reality. And there will be a song for my mother. In fact, it’s a postcard that I never sent to him. She will discover its content through this song.
