Munich today – news from May 26th, 2022 – Munich
Even without being there, you can imagine what was going on 44 years ago in Hasenbergl. When Ursula Buchfellner was sixteen, she got naked for the “Playboy” photographer. Her wish at the time: get out of her environment and into real life.
Ursula Buchfellner grew up in Hasenbergl, in a two-room apartment, she, her parents and nine siblings. No bathroom, no hot water, no heating, the toilet in the corridor – then the magazine with her nude photos appeared and everything changed. In the neighborhood she was insulted by the neighbors, her mother no longer dared to go out into the street because she was being attacked. The baker who employed the young woman fired her. But she lost even more: “My boyfriend, my job, my Hasenbergl, because the parents didn’t let me play with their children anymore,” she told the SZ a few years ago.
Ursula Buchfellner is sixty today. She’s back in her old neighborhood. Her apartment is open to anyone who has worries. Young people like old. Now she is also a candidate for the Senior Citizens’ Advisory Board in Munich. What drives the former Playmate? My colleague Marleen Wiegmann visited Ursula Buchfellner in her apartment, which is actually much too big for her alone (SZ Plus). But most of the time someone is sitting in her living room with the walls painted bright yellow anyway. “Everyone knows that Ursula’s door is always open. She has something to eat and she listens to you,” she says.
