The Japanese garden of Dijon changes face slightly
Work to replace the torii (the traditional gate) and the gateway barriers has already begun. The opportunity to discover this curiosity “from the other side of the world”
You are certainly familiar with the Parc du Suzon and its promenade along the river… but do you know this part of the park called the “Japanese garden”?
This garden was born from a Franco-Japanese collaboration with the city of Koshigaya about thirty kilometers north of the capital Tokyo. FYI, Koshigaya is twinned with Dijon.
The Japanese garden, which is part of the Suzon garden, is a real invitation to travel. In Japanese culture, composing a garden is also organizing a dream and harmonizing one’s passions with the world.
The beauty of this park lies in the harmony of 3 elements: water, stones and plants: most of the plants in this garden are from Japan like a Himalayan pine. Different Asian symbols are also to be discovered.
Until June 10, the Japanese garden is undergoing beautification work and enhancement.
Once this date has passed, you will be able to escape to the other side of the world, without spending a penny.
