The Argentine Federico Pereyra in Siena
SIENA- The new opposite comes from Argentina at Emma Villas Aubay Siena. Federico Pereyra, column of the Argentine national team and bronze medalist in Tokyo 2020, will wear the white-blue jersey of the new season.
Fresh from the championship with the UPCN of San Juan (ARG) and the title of MVP of the playoffs, Pereyra is ready to knock down heavy balls for his second season in Italy. With Federico Pereyra the club of President Bisogno uses the wild card of the first of the two foreigners available for this new season in A2.
THE CARREER-
Born in 1988, 200 cm tall, the native opposite of San Juan started playing at the age of eight thanks to his mother, a volleyball player. But it is already at the age of sixteen that the first call-up in albiceleste arrives, of which he wears the shirt since 2006 with few interruptions.
In Italy we saw Pereyra on the occasion of the VNL 2021 in Rimini but the first time in the BelPaese dates back to 2012 with the Elettrosud Brolo when the season started, fresh from a year in Brazil with the BMG Montes Claros and, even before, from two rich seasons with Bolivar Voley in his homeland, with whom he had won the championship, the Argentina Cup, the gold medal at the South American Club Championship and the title of best scorer of the Club World Championship 2010/11. He later had experiences in Belgium, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Libya until returning to Argentina last season.
