SPIEF-2022: Russia-Latin America – expanding the horizons of cooperation

A meeting between Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Russian Federation Julio Garmendia Peña took place in Moscow.

The participants discussed the participation of the Cuban delegation in the work of SPIEF-2022, as well as the development of trade and economic ties between the countries and various bilateral initiatives, including the opinion on the results of the High-Level Inter-Parliamentary Commission proposed by the Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin during his recent trip to Havana in expected in 2022.

The Cuban delegation of events takes an active part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the business program of which includes the Russia-Latin America business dialogue. At a meeting with unchanging efficiency, SPIEF was noted as an international platform for dialogue on key issues of global problems.

A separate vector of the congress was the presentation of SPIEF-2022 for representatives of the programs of diplomatic missions of Latin American countries, which took place the day before in Moscow at the forum of the House of South America at the Congress of the Minister of Foreign Economic and International Relations (FER) Sergey Cheremin, Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Alexei Valkov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Grenada to the Russian Federation and CIS countries Oleg Firer, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov.

The head of the DVMS, S.Cheryomin, said that there are two events within the framework of the SPIEF-2022 of the department, and plans to present the participants of the business breakfast, which will be held on June 16 at the Sofitel Hotel. The discussion will focus on the strategic development of Moscow, the progressive achievements of the city, and the exchange of experience with important metropolitan areas in Latin America. The participants will discuss the pace of development of the capital’s construction industry, the work of the public complex, innovations in the field of healthcare and medicine, education and the social sphere.

The SPIEF platform will, of course, focus on the purpose of cooperation and identify new indicators of growth, coverage of the prospects for investment cooperation between Russia and the region, as well as issues of state support for Russian and Latin American businesses, development of integration processes, volumes in the Eurasian volume, in Latin America and absorption » , – shared Alexey Valkov.
