Rada hl. The City of Prague agreed with the proposal to purchase 35 flats from the Residual Property Administration of the Prague 3, as (hereinafter SZM). Prague will buy apartments for CZK 222 million. The proposal will be discussed by the council on Thursday.
“The joint-stock company Prague 3 wants to transform into a purely management company in the future, so it no longer wants to own real estate. The goal of our coalition is to expand the city’s housing stock, so we welcomed the offer from SZM to buy these apartments. The alternative was to sell apartments on the market. So far, Prague has no city flats in Prague 3, “said the councilor. m of Prague for housing and transparency Adam Zábranský.
The purchase price was determined by expert opinions, the apartments are in good condition. Some of the flats are empty, most are occupied by tenants with a fixed-term contract. The apartments will be used in accordance with the city’s housing policy. Due to the fact that most of the flats in question are currently occupied by tenants with a fixed-term contract, the tenants’ contracts will be extended by default if the rules are complied with. Relaxed Prague occupies according to valid rental flats, which regularly focuses on four target groups: seniors, necessary professions Praguers in need and people with disabilities.
“It makes sense, in the event that there is a meaningful offer to expand the housing stock of the capital city of Prague, to take advantage of this offer. All the more so because it is a property that belongs to a company owned by the city district. Our goal is to expand the housing stock of the capital city of Prague, which is also successful with this step, ”added the councilor. m of Prague for the area of property management and property shares Jan Chabr.
Councilor for the joint-stock company Prague 3 Pavel Musil added: “These flats were rented commercially by SZM in the past and were not suitable for the real estate housing policy of Prague 3. Due to the current real estate market with a lack of free market, we consider this transaction advantageous for both parties. , both for the city of Prague and for the city district of Prague 3, which will use the proceeds from the sale for the reconstruction of the municipal flats entrusted to it. “
Hl. m Prague has started negotiations on the purchase of the flats in question on the basis of the initiatives of the Prague 3 district. In Prague 3, the capital currently does not own any flats in the non-public district. The capital has long suffered from a lack of municipal housing stock, so buying a property is one of the tools to get more housing units into the administration. Housing development strategy approved in the capital last year. m in Prague is planned for new urban construction in the range of at least 500 apartments per year (with the aim of achieving this by 2030). The Prague development company is preparing projects on city land, which will enable the construction of up to 6,000 new city apartments.
