Luxembourg – Dribble d’Or 2022: The Senegalese Fine Bop crowned top scorer and player!
The former player of Diambars FC El Hadji Fine Bop enters a little more in the history of Luxembourg football, the Senegalese player was crowned top scorer and player of honor division at the end of the 2021-2022 financial year.
With 30 achievements and at the top of the final ranking of the best pyrotechnicians of this season in the honor division, the equivalent of the Luxembourg second division, El hadji Fine Bop flew over the championship with his talent under the colors of Jeunesse Canach.
Hands down, the Senegalese international (U23) managed almost single-handedly to maintain his team (10th). Barred last year by the Covid pandemic when he pranced at the top of the top scorers before the definitive end of the championship, the player is doing it again and is raising the bar very high. This season, he slams 30 pawns in 27 games played and wins the top scorer trophy.
The Senegalese striker was then logically rewarded with the title of best player in the honor division during the traditional Dribble d’Or trophy ceremony. By far, with 84% of the vote, he is ahead of Hassane M’Barki and Valerio Barbaro respectively second and third. El Hadji Fine Bop becomes the second Senegalese player in history to win this title in Luxembourg after Moussa Seydi, a former Generation player in 2019.
