Anaïs Bounouar will leave SM Caen for FC Lorient
A page turns for the women’s section of Stade Malherbe. After three years of good and loyal service, Anaïs Bounouar has decided to leave her position as head of the first team for a position at the FC Lorient training center.
At the club since 2019, Anaïs Bounouar contributed to the creation of the women’s section of Stade Malherbe Caen. After a first season stopped dead by the covid, the Caen players reached the Regional 1 level last year. This season, the girls will continue on their production and will compete in the play-offs for a rise in D2 and thus access the national level. In three seasons, Anaïs Bounouar has lost only one league match at the head of the senior team: “I would like to thank the club for giving me this great opportunity three years ago. I spent three dreadful years here. We are, until my departure, with all of my staff, equipped mobilized to conclude for this incredible season by fulfilling the objective of the club, the accession in D2, without forgetting the identical objective for our U18 ” spoke the future ex-coach of Stade Malherbe on the club’s official website. Anaïs Bounouar left women’s football for a position at the FC Lorient training center where she found Arnaud Tanguy, former general manager of SMC.
