Women in Lebanon – Lebanese Cultural Week: Mairie d’Avignon
Born in solidarity with the destruction that marked Beirut in 2020, impacting in particular the heritage and libraries of the Lebanese capital, the 2nd edition of the Lebanese Cultural Week was organized again in Avignon, with great attention and a lot of acuity. .
In partnership with the Djéliya Internationale association, this year it has made a particular effort to highlight Lebanese women and their extraordinary talent. Conferences, poetry, screenings, exhibitions, meetings, creative workshops… All forms of cultural action will punctuate this event, which continues today for our greatest pleasure.
This cultural event, open to all Avignonnais and those curious to discover what captivates us and unites us in the Pays du Cèdre, free entry is part of the municipal dynamics driven by Terre de Culture 2025: making Avignon the epicenter cultural pluralism and open-mindedness, by planning unifying, demanding and accessible local events. Like the Reading Plan that we are initiating throughout Avignon, so that reading is at the heart of everyone’s life. Without forgetting the partners and the local actors, always more numerous to associate themselves with this dynamic.
