‘When you are close to me’, from which it takes its title, is the verse of a famous song by Gino Paoli. To sing it, often and at the top of her voice, is Milena, one of the guests of the Lega del Filo d’Oro, ppoint of reference in Italy for the enhancement of deafblind and psychosensory impaired people. And it is precisely in one of these Centers that the Viezzoli room is inserted, a microcosm immersed in the hills with an extraordinary concentration of different languages. During the span of four seasons, Milena and other guests of the Lega del Filo D’Oro Center in Osimo accompany the director to discover their world, a community where verbal language is just one of the many to express oneself and, at a distance of a hand, we exchange information, argue, learn and joke. And where, despite physical limitations, an intense emotional and communicative life reigns. The Malossi method, the tactile LIS, the Pictographic, the object, the Tadoma and other individual languages created ad hoc at the Center, like the director’s camera, they then become bridges between peoplethrough passages in which to build relationships and explore the world.
