The Christian Democratic Party of San Marino wishes to highlight the events that have taken place throughout the last week in which the samse delegation led by the Secretary of State took part, which manifests the ferment and liveliness with which San Marino is increasingly facing the international scene. First of them, the 7th annual EUSAIR Forum, the European Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region, held at the beginning of the week, which this year took place in Tirana under the Albanian Presidency, and in which our Republic participated for for the first time in the role of Country Strategy, having joined in February 20 member countries22. existing bilateral relations. Of great importance was the trip to Brussels, which on 17 and 18 May saw meetings of the San Marino Delegation with high representatives of the Commission and the European Parliament, and during which the Secretary of State met the Vice President of the Commission, Maros Sefcovic, Responsible for the association, who reaffirmed the firm will of the European contract023. The PD welcomes how the European Commission has shown particular interest in the specificities of San Marino in the adoption and implementation of the legislation, while respecting the fundamental principles and freedoms of the Union. The support for the Agreement was also confirmed by the Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the European Parliament, by the numerous Italian parliamentarians of the Interparliamentary Support Group between the EU and San Marino and by the Secretary General of the EPP, Antonio Isturiz Lopez White, who guaranteed the its commitment to complete the Agreement as soon as possible. Finally, the 132nd session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, held in Turin over the weekend, was an opportunity to meet the Parliament with senior representatives of the Commission and the European Parliament and discuss the role and steps to be taken in front of to the context of the ongoing war. The value of this occasion which, as per the Secretariat of State, allowed the possibility of various talks addressed by Secretary Beccari during the two days with the equivalent Ministers of Monaco, Andorra, Malta and Croatia, allowed further reflections on the path of Association to the ‘EU and the role of these countries’ foreign policy in relation to the conflict in Ukraine. The Christian Democrats welcome the results of the work carried out by the Government on these occasions and, as also done in this session just concluded, confirms its support for the action carried out by the Executive so that the Republic of San Marino can be interlocutor and protagonist more and more authoritative in the relationship with the states of the international European Union and on the whole panorama.
