EDITORIAL – We live in an age where there are so many ideas for melancholy, perhaps too many. The pandemic before and now the war in Europe have certainly undermined the confidence of many in the future but precisely for this reason it is right to look at those who, instead, have decided not to give up. These days the stories of two women who really deserve attention and respect for the energy they put into what they do day after day.
A Silvia Furlani was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at just 26 years oldtoday it has 62 years old but she never gave up. The Friulian athlete, born in 1960, suffering from multiple sclerosis has been part of the team for 30 years Keep moving ASD of Udine and with enviable safety and calm, with a backpack and trekking poles, he has done countless marathons, half marathons, trails throughout Italy and beyond.
“I take multiple sclerosis for a walk”: is the recurring phrase she pronounces to those who ask her where she finds energy and courage to not give up.
