Secondary alerts were issued due to thunderstorms
Budapest – Thunderstorms move to the central and eastern part of the country in the evening and at night. There are also strong winds on Wednesday.
Due to the risk of thunderstorms, the National Meteorological Service issued a secondary alarm on several walks in two counties on Tuesday evening.
There may be severe thunderstorms in the affected areas in the coming hours, which may be accompanied by harmful winds, heavy rainfall and hail.
According to their alarm sent to MTI, they can issue additional second-degree alarms in Győr-Moson-Sopron and Vas counties during the day due to the risk of severe thunderstorms. In other parts of the country, first-degree alarms may be issued due to thunderstorms.
It was written that the “ziva activity” in the evening of the night will move to the central and eastern part of the country and then leave the country.
Thunderstorms can be accompanied by hail, intense precipitation and stormy gusts of wind. In the Transdanubian areas, even a fierce thunderstorm is not ruled out.
They also pointed out that a cold front will reach the country on Wednesday, which may cause thunderstorms in Transdanubia and the northern counties for the first time in the afternoon, and in several places in the evening. Heavy thunderstorms are also expected in the southern part of Transdanubia and in the “north-eastern areas with greater uncertainty” if stormy winds, hail and heavy rainfall of more than 90 km / h can be associated.
The formed foci are heading east, so thunderstorms in the Great Plain, in the northeast, can last until dawn on Thursday.
On Wednesday, a second-level warning was issued for Baranya, Somogy, Tolna and Zala counties, and a first-level warning was issued for the rest of the country due to the risk of severe thunderstorms.
