Route to Pisa in view of the 151 Miglia
Marina of Pisa- (Andrea Bertelloni) The 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar is approaching and many boats are arriving at the port of Livorno. A group arrives from Liguria and has decided to do it by racing in order to warm up the engines, a kind of warm-up in view of the departure on 2 June.
Rotta su Pisa is the name of the regatta, born as a sailing in 2019, which will start next May 27 from Varazze and which will bring the fleet to Marina di Pisa and which is organized by the Varazze Club Nautico and the Yacht Club Repubblica Marinara di Pisa, in collaboration with the Celle Nautical Club and the Livorno Yacht Club with the support of Cetilar, Havana Vela, Plastimo, Marina di Varazze, Cala d’Arno and Sail Design.
The departure will be given on Friday 27 May at 5 pm in the waters in front of the Marinai d’Italia pier, disengagement buoy (if any) and arrival in Marina di Pisa in front of Piazza Baleari for a total of about 82 nautical miles.
The registered boats are divided into three categories: Orc Cruising Regatta, Orc DH and Orc Gran Cruising. The awards ceremony will be held at the Yacht Club Livorno headquarters on May 29, 2022 at 10:30 am, with prize draws offered by the technical sponsors for the owners present at the awards ceremony.
Among the members a boat that bears the colors of the YCRMP and that spends the winter racing in western Liguria: Charas2 (Orc Gran Crociera) by Giampiero Intrieri, Sporting Director of the Pisan club, to whom we owe the idea of this regatta.
