Strasbourg President Marc Keller revealed on Tuesday that Ludovic Ajorque (28) and Alexander Djiku (27) have been handed over “exit pass » from the club and could leave this summer.
Speaking in an interview with Latest News from Alsace, Keller said: “Ajorque has been with us for four years and has improved a lot here. We are very happy with him as a player and as a person. He has always behaved in an exemplary manner but after all this time, he may be wondering if he needs a new challenge. He has not made a final decision.
He continued, “We hope to keep him, but if he wants to leave and if a big offer is made, we will talk about it.”
Although the circumstances are different, the result is the same for Djiku. The defender has been offered an extension to his contract, which is due to expire next summer but is “think it” according to President Keller. “As with Ludo (Ajorque), with Alex we are waiting. If they leave naturally, they will be replaced. It’s part of the life of a club.
Ajorque in particular has had an impressive season, scoring 12 goals and registering 8 assists in Ligue 1 in a campaign where Strasbourg finished sixth. Lille have been touted as a possible destination for the French striker.
