No toxic substances were detected in the laboratory tests, on the basis of which they were carried out after the fish deaths at Városligeti Lake – MTI was informed by Budapest Gyógyfürdői és Hévizei (BGYH) Zrt.
According to the announcement, the temperature and composition of the water also meet the standards. The company was notified to Városliget Zrt. Around noon on Tuesday. that fish carcasses were found at the lake.
The BGYH employees started the water test on their own or with the staff of an external, independent accredited laboratory, taking water samples at the manhole and at the point of introduction into the lake.
The pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen level and active chlorine content of the water were also measured.
According to the report, it can be stated that the water of the lake is dirty, there are algae, algae and the aeration fountain is not working.
The field inspections so far have established that the composition and temperature of the water meet the regulations, so they saw no reason to control the water.
It was also pointed out that after the fish death in early April, the BGYH still did not receive all the official test results.
The results obtained so far from an external, independent accredited laboratory confirm that the level of the components of the water discharged from the Széchenyi Spa was orders of magnitude lower than the threshold values specified in the law and specified in the water rights operating permit.
They added that no contaminated water from the BGYH entered the lake.
