“In conjunction with residents and associations of the Compans-Caffarelli district, the Town Hall has encouraged the creation of an open-air market at Square Héraclès. The objective was to develop a food offer with a dozen local retailers and producers, on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. “, explains the municipality in a press release.
“Beyond their commercial existence, the markets are part of the essentials of local life, which are a priority for this mandate. Places of meetings and exchanges, they contribute to the dynamics of living together, but also to the integration of new inhabitants in the districts. I have no doubt that the new market in Place Héraclès will fill this role very quickly when it already meets the demand of the inhabitants, ”said the mayor of Toulouse, Jean-Luc Moudenc, through a press release.
“This offer, which complements that of sedentary merchants, is an asset for a dynamic neighborhood life. Places of meetings and conviviality appreciated by the inhabitants, the local markets play an important role in revealing the social bond, ”adds the Town Hall.
