Win 1 × table of 8 for the Country & BBQ Liechtenstein – Liechtenstein

Sugar Mizzy May 23, 2022

VADUZ – The western town “Old Town” will open its doors again this year from June 9th to 12th. The unique charm of the Wild West will return to the state capital Vaduz for four days. As a “Volksblatt” subscriber, you can win a table for 8 including admission and dinner (own service) for all four days.

From the journey with the “Old Town Train”, to the grandiose concerts in the Music Hall, to your own pony ranch with an Indian village – there is something for young and old! The program started on Thursday evening with the “Special Night” as a premiere. On this evening all three (!) headliners of the event will play exclusively on stage. Whey Jennings, the grandson of country legend Waylon Jennings, comes to Europe for the first time ever and performs well-known number one hits from the family archives such as “Mamas don’t let your babies grow up to be Cowboys…”.

The country star is also in Liechtenstein for the first time, and “Craig Campbell” is a guest in Nashville. The heartthrob has already played more than 60 performances in the legendary Grand Ole Opry and brings a very diverse stage show with it: From guitar to piano and solo parts, there is a bit of everything!

With «Ray Scott» a familiar face is coming to Old Town. The charismatic singer played to a sold-out audience at Country & BBQ Liechtenstein in 2018. With his new CD “Cover The Earth” in his luggage, he will be releasing new hits in addition to his well-known songs and will make the hall tremble later on Thursday evening. There will be show & entertainment for the entire musical line-up on June 9, 2022 with a free aperitif and enchanting “Mariachi music” at the entrance. If you don’t want to paint this spectacle, you can www.land.li Buy tickets for the «Music Hall»!

The BBQ Night for the big cowboys will take place again on Friday evening. The US Cars Meeting attracts the most beautiful American vintage cars to Vaduz and the winner of the evening can be chosen in a contest at the «Hank Harris» bullriding. The grills and smokers will run particularly hot this evening.

There is a western and country feeling on Saturday not only in “Old Town”, but also in the Kids Village at the Pony Ranch and in the Indian Village. This is where the little cowgirls and cowboys really get going. War paint, feather headdresses, drums… The children can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the Indians, try their hand at throwing a lasso or try their hand at the agility course. From 10 a.m. in the Music Hall you will find the line dancers with their DJs and you can enjoy free live music with the country star “Karen Waldrup” and talented singers from the region. From 6 p.m. the Music Hall is chargeable and can only be visited with an event ticket.

Sunday is all about charity! The Liturgy of the Word will be held at 9:30 a.m. People with amazing entry to Old Town and also get free Farmers Brunch. Registrations must be made through our partner organizations (see website). With the «BACA» Charity Ride, a huge convoy of over 100 Harleys and bikes arrives at the festival site around noon. The biker organization is committed to helping abused children and the ride on Sunday is public and anyone can join the entourage to set an example.

After the bikes have entered, the “trikes” (motorcycles with sidecars) are mounted. On the very special “Handicap Ride” after noon, it will be people with strong opportunities to ride a motorcycle. This is supported by various professional organizations from Switzerland.
