Sun and high temperatures in northern Norway – heavy rainfall in the south – NRK Troms and Finnmark
– Now we really got to show Northern Norway from its best side, says Kanita.
She lives with Suleiman in Harstad, and has visited from her family in Serbia. They cheered as they checked the weather forecast before the visit arrived in the city.
The family can look forward to several days in the sun on their visit.
– Now comes the nice weather we have been waiting for a long time, says state meteorologist at the weather forecast loop in Tromsø, Iselin Skjervagen.
Monday morning is the nicest weather in the south of Troms, but throughout the day the sun peeks out further north in the county. In addition, there is little wind, and temperatures can be up to 15 degrees.
According to meteorologists, even nicer weather is expected on Tuesday. Then it can be up to 20 degrees along the coast.
On Monday, high temperatures were also reported in Trøndelag. There, the protractor will bend 20 degrees in several places.
Rain in the south
Men, if you live further south in the country, you will probably not need the sunscreen right away.
In southern Norway, there may be up to 50 millimeters of precipitation in the next few days, so it is enough just to find the umbrella.
On Tuesday, strong winds are expected in Rogaland and Hordaland, and a yellow warning has been issued.

Increased avalanche danger
But the transition from snow records in May to spring overnight also increases the risk of avalanches.
– We see avalanche activity, it has already started, says duty manager Jostein Aasen at NVE’s avalanche warning.
The greatest danger will be in Troms from Monday. Significant avalanche danger is expected, danger level three. For the rest of the country, it is mostly danger level two, moderate.
– We expect big luck nests that will resolve themselves, says Aasen.

From super lead to wet
Skier Nikolai Schirmer who makes a living from skiing, the tipping season in Troms will last until the end of June.
– But if it gets hot up to the top now, there will be a period where it will be dangerous, says Schirmer.
To other skiers, Krister Kopala and his girlfriend Thea Røhme were on a summit trip on Sunday.
– It was super cool a few days ago, and now it was completely wet, says Kopala.
He says on Sunday at 1100 meters altitude was recorded five degrees.
– It is clear that large landslides can occur.
The avalanche warning trail recommends keeping a large distance to avalanches. Landslides can occur naturally or be easy to release on steep mountain slopes with wet snow, and especially where the sun is on.
