May, 23rd. Interfax-Russia.ru – There is no shortage of reagents for laboratory tests in Russia; information about the lack of medical devices for diagnostics by medical organizations was not announced, reported in the Ministry of Health of Russia.
“In connection with publications in some media regarding the lack of reagents for testing, we inform you that the information does not match the reports,” the Russian Ministry of Health said in a statement on Monday.
It is noted that at present, in the state register of large products and organizations involved in the production and manufacture of medical devices, there is information about 4,963 future products for in vitro diagnostics, including 2,575 industrial products of domestic production.
“Roszdravnadzor carried out random monitoring of defects in large enterprises to identify products that increase the growth of enterprises in the Russian Federation.
According to the International Medical Device Manufacturers Association (IMEDA), supplies continue with the supply of laboratory reagents for analysis.
“At the same time, we inform you that on April 1, 2022, the Russian Federation carried out a determination, in accordance with the specific use of specific cases with analyzers of reagents and other manufacturers, if the safety and effectiveness of their use were found during registration,” the report said.
The situation with the availability of laboratory diagnostics is under constant control of the Russian Ministry of Health and Roszdravnadzor, the press service added.
Earlier, Vedomosti reported that there are currently problems with the supply of equipment, reagents and consumables in state and special clinical and biological laboratories in Russia. According to the report, 63% of laboratory employees confirmed the increase in the period of use. Some of them have offers at all (20% of respondents). Another 18.5% of respondents followed new manufacturers and distributors, 16% had problems with paid selection.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade told Interfax that manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, reagents and consumables for production in Russia are analyzing problems with supplies to Russia, but at present most of them have already built logistics chains.
