Covid, empty intensive care in San Marino
Intensive room empty in San Marino. In the week between 16 and 22 May 2022, the Institute for Social Security of the Republic of San Marino recorded 129 new cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2, following 1,061 swabs carried out (positive rate on a weekly at 12.16%). In the same period 187 people recovered and the average number of patients was 5 (of which 0 in intensive care). The last death now dates back to 29 April.
Overall, the total number of people infected from the beginning of the pandemic until midnight yesterday is 17,021 of which: 183 active positives (average age 49 years, 94 females and 89 males), 115 deaths and 16,723 recoveries.
Currently there are 4 people hospitalized in isolation rooms and positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Instead, 4 people are in quarantine.
The total swabs performed are 155,725, of which 33,445 on individuals.
Anti-COVID vaccination campaign
The total number of vaccinations registered in San Marino since the beginning of the Campaign is 70,784, of which 24,244 people vaccinated with the first dose and 26,556 with the second dose or with the single dose.
Completed the immunization cycle 81.74% of the resident vaccinable population with a primary of 5 years or more.
19,984 people have received the booster dose, equal to 66.01% of the resident population vaccinated with or over 12 years of age.
