AVIGNON / The Pandora cinema becomes La Scala Provence.
The former cinema Le Capitole, recently Le Pandora, rue Pourquery in Avignon is undergoing a transformation, to become a prestigious and demanding artistic place from July: La Scala Provence

Frederic and Melanie BIESSYowners of the prestigious Scala Paris fell in love with the former Le capitole cinema, with its art deco facade. Objective of the new owners: to serve the most demanding creation, to make La Scala Provence “a new living space open all year round to creations, residencies for leading or emerging artists, in all disciplines: theatre, dance, music, new circus, stand-up, visual and digital arts”

La Scala Provence will host, as in Paris, classical, jazz or electro concerts and all kinds of quality shows. They are already in contact with Avignon Opera Theater to perhaps work together.

So from July La Scala Provence will be entirely dedicated to theater performances.
