Why Deutsche Welle wrote an article about Rumen Radev – Politics – Bulgaria – Focus with Lora Krumova
Commentary by Tsveteslava Galabova and Haralan Alexandrov
Shortly before the visit of German President Rumen Radev to Germany, the German newspaper Deutsche Welle poured out an article entitled “The Two Faces of Rumen Radev”. It says that the head of state is pro-Western on the outside and pro-Russian for domestic use. The Presidency came out with an inspection and a request for a right of reply. In “On Focus” Tsveteslava Galabova, who heads the initiative committee of Rumen Radev and social anthropologist Assoc. Prof. Haralan Alexandrov commented on the topic.
“Several questions arise for me. Why is a public media outlet with undisputed authority doing this on the eve of Radev’s opinion in Germany? For so many years, it has not been clear whether Putin’s long arm is in Bulgaria or whether he is a “NATO general.” The question is that the behavior of a state of a certain rank must be plastic. My personal hypothesis is that this is related to the problem with Northern Macedonia, “said Galabova.
“There is nothing explosive about the president’s trip. This is a routine visit, part of the protocol activities of the Presidency. A society for a number of historical and cultural reasons, subject to the acceptance of its westernness. In the conditions of radicalization, every leader is more or less forced to maintain a dual interface, “Alexandrov said.
