Toulouse will return to the Women’s League
Despite the support of three thousand spectators at Polesud de Grenoble, La Tronche-Meylan could not push Toulouse to a Match 3, losing 57-61. The TMB will thus go back to the Women’s League.
They gave everything to the Iséroises, like Anna Ngo Ndjock (19 points, 4 rebounds) and Aurore Pautou (16 points, 12 rebounds), and it was only in the last quarter that the match decided to smile at Toulouse. Two three-point shots from Kalis Loyd (20 points and 8 rebounds) proved crucial.
“It’s really contradictory emotions this evening, commented Camille Cirgue, at the Dauphine. We are so happy to have played in front of so many people, but we are competitors, we really have the ability to hang on to this beauty… We gave everything, Toulouse deserves… But I think the winners are us. Yes, we are the winners. »
La Tronche-Meylan has proven that women’s basketball can be of interest to a wide audience in Isère, but it is Toulouse Métropole Basket that will find the elect it left in 2016.
“We knew we were coming into a trap, in this full room and against us. We knew it would be tough. But we remained united when it was necessary to be. So we had slumps, shortcomings, but in the end, we will remember the victory, not the rest, ”concluded Hélène Jakovljevic at La Dispatch.
