In the context of the investigation regarding persons who smuggle tobacco products, in various parts of Thessaloniki, the above locals were identified and their action was certified.

In particular, the 63-year-old was found to be holding in a plastic bag a box containing 10 packs of smuggled cigarettes, which he had bought from the 51-year-old. The other locals were then immobilized by the said officials of the relevant Port Authority, while the 56-year-old carried a bag containing 68 packs of smuggled cigarettes, of various names.

In a further search carried out in a common area inside the apartment building where the 51-year-old and the 56-year-old live, 1,351 packs of smuggled cigarettes of various brands were found, as well as 41 packs of smuggled tobacco of various brands.

Finally, a legal search was carried out at the home of the two women, where 3,801 packs of contraband cigarettes of various brands, 516 packs of contraband tobacco of various brands were found, as well as the amount of 4,900 euros.

The Central Port Authority of Thessaloniki, which is conducting the preliminary investigation, confiscated a total of 5,162 packs of smuggled cigarettes of various brands, 557 packs of smuggled tobacco of various brands, without bearing the entire stamp of the excise tax amounting to 5,000 euros. which contained money and quantities from the sale of smuggled cigarettes and three decisions on mobile phones, while the 56-year-old was re-arrested for which she was pending against her.
