RTL Today – Festivals: A crazy musical summer in Luxembourg
The festivals are back in Luxembourg! After two years of pandemic, the summer of 2022 promises to be hotter than ever. Here are the musical events not to be missed.
THE FRANCOFOLIES
From June 8 to 12, 2022, the Francofoliesin partnership with Esch2022, will ignite the town of Esch-sur-Alzette. The festival, whose mission is to enable Luxembourg’s multiculturalism, will take place for three days around the two stages installed in the Gaalgebierg park.
After a first edition 2021 somewhat disturbed by the covid – to the public to be seated – the 2022 program promises a lot.
On display : artists such as PNL, Damso, Clara Luciani, Grand Corps Malade, Roméo Elvis, Juliette Armanet, Eddy de Pretto, Gaël Faye, Vladimir Cauchemar and many others…
THE ROCKHAL
This year, the Rockhall is proud to also offer a series of exceptional concerts. The mythical Black Eyed Peas (June 15), the phenomenon Imagine Dragons (June 16), and the flamboyant Californian rockers The Killers (July 10) will perform in particular in the open air at the feet of the feet Blast Furnaces of Esch Belvalin a unique and majestic setting.
Until August 23, festival-goers will also have the chance to see internationally renowned artists: the queen of soul Alicia Keys, the pop icon of new generations The Kid Laroi, the London superstar Jessie J, but also Sean Paul, John Legend, Toto, Ozuna, Judas Priest, Nick Cave and many others.
As part of this exceptional programme, the poet Francois Cabrel transpose for the first time to the Grand Duchy. In all, around fifteen concerts will thrill the public of the Greater Region.
E-LAC
the e-lac, it is above all a unique festival experience, since it takes place near Lake Echternach. For three days, from August 12 to 14, visitors could feast on all genres of music.
Designed exclusively by young people for young people, the e-Lake festival has a very innovative policy. Its organizers attach great importance to admission is free in each edition.
Particular attention is also paid to the proper management of waste on the site and the campsite, in order to protect the green zone located around the lake.
SIREN CALL

In addition to the concerts, the festival offers of many activities: yoga and dance classes, local designer markets, immersive sound experiences, not to mention activities for children.
On September 15, 16 and 17, the famous Night of the Lanterns de Wiltz are also making a comeback. Wonderful light and sound installations will transform the city garden and its surroundings into an enchanted and magical world. The event has for several years been one of the most visited cultural events in the North, if not in the whole country.
